Getting the hang of PixelFed

The Humans have been working to set up PixelFed to manage the images they take of us
_{(because what other purpose is there for a camera?)}

While doing so, they have found a few annecdotes and tidbits that they thought others might appreciate.

To have your user account visible on the Directory page, you have to change your privacy settings from the default.

This wasn’t obvious to dad, but was simple to change once I helped him see what was pawsible.

Login to pixelfed
Look in the user-scoped drop-down upper right corner of the UI.
Click on the Settings element.
Click on the Privacy menu element.
_{There should be several options to check/uncheck here.}
The two elements:
- Include public posts in search results
- Show on Directory

Are likely what you want here :)
