We have been working to set up PixelFed to manage the images we post for Hoof & Paw
In doing so, we’ve found a few useful annecdotes and tidbits we thought others might appreciate us sharing.
User-specific Discoverability #
To have your user account visible on the Directory page, you have to change your privacy settings from the default.
This wasn’t obvious to me, but was simple to change.
- Login to pixelfed
- Look in the user-scoped drop-down upper right corner of the UI.
- Click on the Settings element.
- Click on the Privacy menu element.
There should be several options to check/uncheck here. - The two elements:
Include public posts in search resultsShow on Directory
