Robust Postgres Tooling

Well.. This looks interesting!โ„ข๏ธ.

Do you have a hard time with postgres at scale? #

I know I do. I was looking for a better way to deal with the consistent need to provide some durable services to ephemeral containers… and discovered Pigsty1

It looks pretty interesting. so I’m hopeful it’ll work well….

How I plan to get it set up… #

So… how do I actually use it?

I’m not WHOLLY sure yet…
I’m sure there’s some useful guides somewhere, right?

Generally speaking, my plan, without actually doing much “work” yet, is to deploy a “node” on each proxmox host, and have that node be the “database endpoint” for the various workloads on that host….

Column Set Three: Single centered column

colset 3 single content leftaligned

Thoughts about the process #

workloads on any one node connect to the local endpoint
Pigsty owns replication…
So workloads can be ambivalent about where their databases are

we shall see?
